England - September 2018 - Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswilds

You may recall, when we were travelling between Bath and Stratford-opon-Avon, we had intended to drive through the scenic and enchanted village-filled Cotswold Hills.  But alas, we had gotten lost on the back roads and had no time.  But Oxford is just to the east of the Cotswolds, so we decided to go check out one of the villages:  Stow-on-the-Wold.  It was only about a 45 minute drive from Oxford.

Stow had a good-sized town square where we had no trouble parking in the late afternoon.

We walked around, checked it out.

Lucy's!

There wasn't a whole lot to the town but we enjoyed walking around and checking it out.

This road leads to the Kings Arms Hotel & Pub.  There were two hotels and a number of B&Bs here in this little town.

The town church was built in the 15th century.

It was getting about dinner time so we decided on The Bell at Stow.

I had some delicious lamb.  This was our last dinner and England and for me, it was the best one of the entire trip.

Happy customers.

We drove back to Oxford to our B&B -- the only one we stayed at two nights during our England trip.  Tomorrow we visit Windsor Castle, then fly home.
